InnerMission Productions was founded in 2005 with Jess Ryan Williams. Our intent was to bring edgy and raw material to the stage. Our first production was "First Love" by Charles L. Mee. We were lucky enough to work with locals George Soete, Joan Westmoreland and Brenna Briski for our first production.
Here are some highlights from "First Love" which was performed at the now sadly abandoned St. Cecilia's Playhouse.
After "First Love" we co-produced the critically acclaimed "Marat-Sade" and "All In the Timing" with ion Theatre.
While working on "First Love" with George Soete he approached me as a playwright and shared with me his gem of a play "Nest". You can read "Nest" and George's other plays at www.georgesoete.net.
I fell in love with the script and it became InnerMission's next project. We presented "Nest" in July of 07 at the Sunset Temple Grand Hall just behind Claire de Lune. Our audiences and the critics loved it. Unfortunately, due to space constraints we were only able to run the show for two short weekends. While working on "Nest" Kym Pappas was invited to join InnerMission as a co-artistic director.
Our most recent project was a co-production of "The Vagina Monologues" at the Birch North Park Theatre in February, 2008 with Step-Up Theatre and Battlecry.
